
Situated along a busy stretch of Massachusetts Avenue in the Central Square area of Cambridge MA, the operators of a newly opened Jersey Mike’s restaurant added a digital mobile billboard truck to their Grand Opening promotional media plan in October and November.
Running for several weeks, primarily along the Mass. Ave. corridor between Harvard Square and Kendall Square, the mobile digital billboard displayed a slide show of multiple ads on its three large LED screens, amplifying public awareness of the restaurant.
The truck’s route covered a variety of districts, exposing its advertising messages to students at Harvard University and MIT, residential and retail neighborhoods, and the dynamic Kendall Square bio-technology hub.
With a number of traffic lights along the corridor requiring frequent stops, the mobile billboard ads were seen by many pedestrians, as well as vehicle traffic along Massachusetts Avenue which included cars, buses, and busy dedicated bicycle lanes.
