The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 103 wanted to publicize a couple issues dear to their hearts, so they used our mobile billboard trucks to get the word out.
First, they wanted to highlight what they believe to be unsafe practices by a major contractor. Our activities included being present at demonstrations and picket lines, and increasing public awareness by circulating around Foxborough Stadium during a New England Patriots game.
Second, they want to highlight the fact that state money recently directed toward the biotechnology industry is reducing the funds available to invest in rebuilding our public schools.
In both cases, the union is essentially trying to preserve jobs and safe working conditions for its membership, and for the public at large.
